CAN I WASH MY HAIR AFTER A COLOUR SERVICE?
We advise waiting 48 hours after a color service before washing your hair. This allows the cuticle of your hair to fully close, ensuring the longevity of your color.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIGHLIGHTS, BABYLIGHTS, TEASYLIGHTS, BALAYAGE, FOILAYAGE, OMBRE, ETC?
Highlights involve the use of foils to create panels of lightness on the hair and to create contrast and a more natural-looking hair color.

Lowlights involve coloring sections of hair with a shade darker than the base color to add depth and dimension and can help add richness and warmth to the hair, especially when combined with lighter tones.

Babylights, on the other hand, are finer highlights that produce a softer, more natural appearance.

Teasylights can be either highlights or babylights, employing a teasing technique to enhance depth at the root, offering a low-maintenance option.

Balayage, a French term meaning "sweeping," entails free-hand painting on the hair's surface, with or without the use of foil. Foilayage is similar to balayage but involves painting into a foil to achieve contrast or additional lightness.

Ombre refers to a gradient effect from dark to light.
WHAT IS COLOUR CORRECTION?
A color correction is a hair service aimed at fixing or adjusting a previous color treatment that didn't achieve the desired results. It involves techniques like color removal, blending, toning, and overall color adjustment to achieve the desired hair color. Corrections address issues like uneven color, brassy tones, over-processing, or color fading. They're typically priced hourly and require a consultation to assess your hair's condition and discuss your desired outcome.
IS IT ACCURATE THAT I SHOULD ARRIVE FOR MY COLOUR APPOINTMENT WITH UNWASHED OR DRY-SHAMPOOED HAIR?
Actually, no! Excessive natural oils can affect the way color or lightener takes on your hair. We prefer you wash your hair two days before your color appointment as it helps us see your true hair color and makes the coloring process easier. The only exception is for a Root Retouch Lightening, as natural oils can help mitigate scalp irritation.
However, even in this case, we don’t recommend washing your hair more than 2-3 days before your appointment. While a little bit of dry shampoo doesn’t bother us, it can alter the way color or lightener takes due to its absorbent nature. Dry shampoo can also change the way your natural color looks, making color matching more difficult. Please arrive with hair that has been washed within the past two days. If you use color re-touch spray that covers the sparkle, please mention it to your stylist during the consultation
WILL I ACHIEVE MY DESIRED COLOUR ON MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Achieving your desired hair color may require multiple appointments, depending on your hair history and goals. Our skilled stylists will conduct a detailed consultation before beginning your service and can provide an estimate of the number of sessions needed. Additionally, please be aware that certain colors may not be achievable on all hair types, but we will provide honest guidance. Proper aftercare is essential for maintaining professional color results, and we cannot guarantee longevity without it. Feel free to ask your stylist for further details.
WHY IS MY ROOT RETOUCH LIGHTENING NOW CONSIDERED A CORRECTIVE SERTVIXE AFTER MORE THAN 8 WEEKS?
Bleach is a chemical that reacts differently with heat. With over 8 weeks of regrowth, your body heat may not reach the oldest part of your roots, causing slower lifting compared to the hair near your scalp. This can result in noticeable yellow or orange lines, known as "banding," in poorly lifted blonde hair. To prevent this, your stylist needs to use various techniques and products for an even lift, which requires additional time, skill, and product usage.
