Hi, I’m Sarah Kim—the founder of Salon Dain and a hairstylist with over 16 years of experience creating beautiful, confidence-boosting hair across some of Toronto’s most refined neighbourhoods, including Forest Hill, Lawrence Park, and Yorkville.

I grew up in my mother’s salon in Seoul—a space filled with warmth, transformation, and quiet confidence. Growing up in a city where beauty is taken seriously and innovation is a way of life, my passion for hairstyling took root naturally. I didn’t just grow up around hairstyling; I lived it. Being raised in that environment taught me that great hair is never just about the cut or colour—it’s about creating moments of care and helping someone feel like the best version of themselves. That’s a lesson I carry into every client interaction today.

 

Building on my early training, I’ve continued to refine my craft through advanced education in both Canada and Korea. On frequent visits to see family in Korea, I’ve had the privilege of learning from one of the country’s most respected master designers—honing the art of precision cutting, elegant updos, and innovative styling rooted in tradition. My experience in Yorkville further shaped my fashion-forward, trend-aware aesthetic: modern, upscale, and effortlessly polished.
